At Northwest Community Television, our free workshops covering basic production skills are geared toward beginners with no television experience. You must attend Orientation to sign up for NWCT classes.
Once you complete a class, you are certified to use the corresponding equipment.
Studio Production
Receive basic hands-on training with studio cameras, the audio board, and the switcher. Your new skills will be put to the test when the class crews a studio production! (2 hours)

Portable Camera
Learn how to record quality video and audio on the DV portable camera equipment. Participants will shoot a class project. (2 hours)

Nonlinear Editing
Edit your show digitally! Import video and audio, add graphics and music, and output to tape or DVD. All participants edit a class project to be shown on Channel 18! (2 hours)

Once you learn the basics, high quality television facilities and equipment are available free of charge. We have a helpful, professional staff to assist you. All programs are recorded on DV tape or DVD and cablecast on our public access channels.
