On July 11, Northwest Community Television's channels 32 through 37 move to channel 12 and channels 34 through 37.
In July, NWCT's cable news and events channel moves from channel 35 to channel 12. "News 35 Northwest" is renamed "Cable 12 News".
NWCT emphasizes quality rather than quantity in events coverage.
"Cable 12 News" begins regular cablecasting of CNN's Headline News Local Edition in September.
